THE STORY OF TRAIL DOG OUTFITTERS

Trail Dog Outfitters was formed in January, 2006 by a father and son, following the attendance of a trade show in Charlotte with their brother and uncle, owner of Qwik Dog. Their minds started spinning to generate an idea for the creation of an e-commerce web based business. The son had recently adopted a black lab/beagle dog, Bailey, from the humane society and both father and son had developed a great appreciation of the great outdoors and the beauty of God's creation through their youth scouting adventures, both achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; cross country road trips; and residing in the foothills below the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains. Using Bailey as the mascot, the name Trail Dog Outfitters surfaced and the business was formed that would provide high quality outdoor apparel along with unique items for outdoor, nature, and dog enthusiast.

Combining their talents the father offers his experience of working in retail and the gift of salesmanship, a talent that began in his early years selling the publication entitled, "The Grit" in order to have spending money. The son's talent is his artistic gift with all art mediums along with a graphic design and imaging technology degree from Appalachian State University. The majority of the designs are originals which display his continued love of nature.

With the slogan, "Dog Is Man's Best Friend" we could not forget our canine friends. Along with our outdoor apparel, you will find many items designed especially for dogs. You will see a unique line of Bison dog collars, leads, and bowls. Look for our mascot's photograph on the web page, Bailey will be appearing periodically. She loves the great outdoors also with her love of running, sniffing, playing, and exploring.
